We have
a need in our second worship service.
The majority of the congregation (better than two-thirds) goes to the early service. That in itself isn't a problem; we expected attendance to be uneven. But the majority of our guests and visitors this summer have been coming to late service, which is sparsely populated by comparison (second service has been as small as 40 people).
Thus, we have two
concerns. First, the second service doesn't enjoy the natural benefits of a larger group. And second, that the new people in the later service might become segregated from the larger portion of the congregation.
So we're
asking the following of those who attend first service:
1. Two or three families to please consider attending second service for the next few months.
2. Individuals attending first service to remain after Sunday School to mingle and greet people informally, as the second service begins.
3. Individuals attending first service to volunteer to serve in the nursery, sound booth, worship team, greeters, communion servers, etc. until the second service catches up.
