Thanksgiving Week

The church office will be closed on Thursday and Friday. Jared Altic will be in the office on Wednesday and Jarod Anderson will be in the office on Saturday.

Both ministers will be traveling on Thursday but the rest of the week Jared Altic will on call if there's any kind of emergency.

He Who Must Not Be Named

I received a message this morning asking me to remove all references to our missionary in SE Asia. Apparently the nation in which he lives searches the internet for references to missionary work and uses that information against him. We've supported this missionary for decades and don't want to hurt him in any way, so we won't be making reference to him by name online anymore.

Reminders (11/14/07)

• Tonight is our Thanksgiving Dinner. We'll begin at 6:30pm.
• The Board Meeting is tomorrow night at 7pm.
• This Sunday we'll have testimonies from the congregation during Worship.
  
• Wednesday Family Night is canceled next week (11/21) because of Thanksgiving. Dinner and classes resume on the 28th.
• The women's retreat at the church is 5:20pm December 1.

Sunday School Shuffle

Our Sunday School classes will be shuffled somewhat beginning tomorrow.

• Cecil and Gale R.'s Class – Same location (Room 204)
  
• Eric Y.'s Class – Same location (Room 104/106)
• Jared Altic's Class – Folded into Eric's class.
  
• Jim R.'s Class – New video series to be held in main auditorium.

The remainder of my class on Revelation will be available in handout form and we'll immediately join Eric's study of 1Samuel (chapter 11 tomorrow). I'm going to assist Eric with his class but I may also take the opportunity to help with the children's Sunday School classes during this time.

Beginning in January I'll resume teaching a separate adult class (probably on Proverbs or one of the Epistles).

Daylight Savings Time

Don't forget that we "fall back" tonight, setting our clocks back one hour. Actually, if you arrive an hour early at church tomorrow you can just sit and listen to our worship team practice for the service.

Kids' Party '07

Last night we had our Kids' Party. Everyone had a great time, beginning with the "Feats of Strength," followed by snacks, and culminating in a "Youth Group Staff Hunt," which included Mike B. hiding in a trash can! Here are some shots of our kids having fun:
