Keeping Time

Thanks to Leonard H. last night for mounting our new clock in the back of the sanctuary.

We've generally avoided clocks in the sanctuary because we don't want people distracted by such things. But we do need to be better stewards of our services and in all areas, from announcements, to worship, to communion, to the sermons, we've been lax about staying on track (I'm probably the worst offender).

I know for me personally, having a analog clock that I can easily see while speaking will help me pace my sermons more effectively. I hope it's a blessing to everyone else as well.

This is a very interesting post. Are you conflicted? :)

Curious why an analog clock was not put up earlier if you felt it would help you pace your sermon.
