- We had 137 at church on Sunday. That's done a bit from normal but it's the summer and lower attendances aren't that unusual. It's ironic that this week was lower than Memorial Day weekend.
- Because of VBS, some of our normal Sunday School classrooms were unavailable. So we offered a special combined class this week. The topic was baptism, based on Jack Cottrell's book, Baptism: A Biblical Study. Next Sunday we'll have our VBS program during Sunday School.
- We've started a new sermon series in Philippians for the summer. The first sermon was on Paul's heartfelt affection for the church.
- Our men's softball league was canceled but the co-ed league is still playing on Tuesday nights. Both leagues will move to a larger, better church league in Turner next year. If you have questions, contact Jay-rod.
- We lost phones and internet service for several hours Monday due to the weather. It wasn't that long ago (maybe five or six years ago?) that our phones went out all the time. But God has blessed us with much more reliable service in recent years. If we missed your phone call, please feel free to contact the ministers via their cell phones. Those numbers are available through the church office.
- Sunday was Jared & Shannon's twelfth wedding anniversary. Thank you for all the kind words of encouragement.
