Jared and Jarod are back from the Preaching and Teaching Convention at Ozark Christian College; we got home after midnight Wednesday night.
It was an especially useful convention that dovetailed nicely with much of the planning and dreaming we're doing here at WCCC. We're a church that is ready for do great things for the Kingdom, and this week of teaching has been a wonderful blessing to both of us.

Financial Peace Coming Soon!
Wyandotte County Christian Church and Friends:
We are planning to offer a Financial Peace University Class on Thursday nights starting March 13 and running through June 5. The class will meet from 7:00 - 9:00pm at the church each Thursday. The cost of the materials for our church group rate is $99.50, including shipping and handling.
Financial Peace University is a 13 week series that provides useful educational and detailed forms to assist with the management of personal finances based on biblical principles. The format of each session includes an entertaining (ask any alumni) presentation by Dave Ramsey followed by a group discussion. The class combines technical knowledge with motivation and accountability to lead us to become better stewards of the financial blessings in our lives. The upcoming class will have the privilege to be the first to view the updated video presentations. Please note that in addition to any church members or regular attenders that would like to join the class, we would also encourage all of you to forward this email to any family, friends, co-workers or acquaintances you think might be interested in the class. We would love to have them participate with us.
Alumni of FPU, as always, are welcome to attend any of the sessions. I will post a schedule of the lessons on the church bulletin board so you can identify which lesson will be presented that Thursday. Also, you have the option to update your materials as follows:
$50 for a completely updated Membership Kit
$35 for an updated workbook and audio CDs of the new presentations only
$20 for an updated workbook only

Called for Snow
The elders at WCCC have CANCELLED all Wednesday activities for this evening, FEB 6, 2008 (because of weather-related road conditions and lots of illness).
